Finishing Process

Prep Sand

Every piece of raw wood furniture is prep sanded before finishing to ensure consistent quality and colour.

Stain, Wipe, Seal

Each piece is sprayed with a solvent based stain and hand-wiped for a uniform colour prior to applying a high solids vinyl sealer.

Sealer Sanding

After the sealer is dry, it is sanded with a high-grit foam-back abrasive to provide a perfectly smooth surface for top coating.

Top Coat

Each piece is top coated with a high solids, post-catalysed varnish conversions lacquer, providing a durable, long-lasting finish.

Final Inspection

Each finished piece is inspected for colour consistency and finishing defects.

Assembly

After final inspection, glass and hardware are installed and the piece is ready for delivery to the consumer.
